2. General information
The MS Visual Studio .NET 2003 contains a toolbox window allowing the user to drag and drop new controls on a form. This toolbox window can be modified: Tabs and controls may be added and removed by accessing the toolbox properties.
SanVsBox is a console application that allows these modifications based on command line arguments. This is useful when modifying the toolbox window of a large number of users (for example when distributing controls or to create a corporate layout of the toolbox). This makes SanVsBox a valuable tool especially when creating control installations. Have a look and if you like it, download it – SanVsBox is freeware!

3. Technical information
SanVsBox allows adding and removing tabs and controls from the toolbox window of MS Visual Studio .NET 2003 based on command line arguments. Possible situations where this might be useful are the distribution of controls or the adjusting of the toolbox to a corporate layout, in other words any situation where the toolbox window of a large number of users needs to be modified.
To use SanVsBox simply open the command window and run the application. You will then see an information screen providing you with the necessary information of all supported command arguments.
A good idea is to include SanVsBox inside a setup file and have it executed during the installation and uninstallation process. In MS Visual Studio .NET 2003 you might create a new setup project, add SanVsBox to the project and call it as a “Commit” and “Uninstall” custom action (don’t forget to set the InstallerClass property to false and specify the arguments).
